As part of the Edinburgh International Film Festival, on Saturday 20th June at Inspace Gallery, Edinburgh, Blood Tea and Red String was screened for the first time in Scotland. Organised by event producer Bren O Callaghan.
Blood Tea and Red String is a stop-motion–animated feature film, called by director Christiane Cegavske a “fairy tale for adults”. It was released on February 2, 2006 after a production time of 13 years, having been filmed in various places in the West Coast and in two studios.
As part of the launch night, Lizzie’s Tea Party provide a cake stand, filled with cupcakes, decorated with red string, caterpillars, spiders, beetles etc. Jak Morgan was on the onsite make up artist, creating a theatrical make up style for all those attending the screening. She did a great doll face!
Here are some pics from the super night, more to follow from Darren the photographer for the night.

Hi Lizzie
I really enjoyed your cupcakes on Saturday night. They really added to the atmosphere – and tasted great too!
Darren’s photo of me with a special mini cupcake is now my new Facebook profile page!
